Comments On Feb 17, 2019: Used the way its intended takes only a few seconds per mill, but cutting in the right spot allowed for the mechanism to pop right into place. My first mill using the crushgrind mechanism and this tool still works amazingly in my kitchen over two years later.

May 22, 2020 I don't believe there is a better salt and pepper mill mechanism on the market than CrushGrind. I found this product mostly easy to use, however, I have fairly large hands and it can be very slightly awkward for me to hold while grinding. If it were just for this, I would still rate 5-stars.
